Information we collect

Account information, such as identifiers and sign-in details provided through our authentication provider.

Parent-created content, such as character names, animal selections, traits, story concepts, settings, prompts, generated story text, generated images, and narration files.

Purchase and credit information, such as credit balances, credit activity, and payment confirmation details from app stores or payment processors. We do not store full payment card numbers.

Technical information, such as device, browser, log, diagnostic, and security information needed to operate and protect the service.

Children and parental control

ReadyTales is designed for use by parents and guardians, not for unsupervised use by children.

Because stories may be personalized for a child, parents should avoid entering unnecessary sensitive information about a child.

If we learn that we collected personal information directly from a child without appropriate parental consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

How we use information

To create, save, display, and manage characters, stories, generated images, and narration.

To send prompts and related inputs to AI providers so they can generate story text, image prompts, images, and related outputs.

To manage credits, purchases, account access, customer support, safety, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, analytics, and service improvement.

AI providers and generated content

ReadyTales uses third-party AI providers, including OpenAI and Google AI, to generate or assist with stories, illustrations, and optional narration. Depending on the feature, the data sent may include names, traits, interests, routines, settings, prompts, story text, and selected images.

Before the first AI-backed action, ReadyTales asks for your permission and identifies these providers, the categories of data that will be sent, and the purpose. If you choose Not now, that action is canceled and no data is sent for it. You can withdraw permission at any time from Parent account > AI data sharing.

Generated images and stories may be stored so they remain available in your library. ReadyTales does not claim ownership of generated images.

AI output may not be unique, and similar outputs may be generated for other users.

How we share information

We share information with service providers that help us operate ReadyTales, such as authentication, cloud database, file storage, AI generation, payment, analytics, and hosting providers.

We may share information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to prevent fraud or abuse, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

We do not sell children's personal information.

Retention and deletion

We keep account data, saved characters, saved stories, images, narration, and credit records for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Signed-in parents can permanently delete their account and associated content in the app from Parent account > Delete account. If you cannot sign in, you can submit a deletion request at readytales.app/deletion-request/. We may ask for information needed to verify that you control the account before acting on a request. Limited records may be retained only where required for legal, security, payment, or accounting obligations.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your choices

You can choose what character and story details to provide, delete individual stories, or permanently delete your account and associated content from Parent account > Delete account. If you cannot access the app, you can submit an account deletion request at readytales.app/deletion-request/.

You can avoid entering real names or sensitive details and use fictional character details instead.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the effective date and provide notice where required by law.
